The author describes the rise and decline of the lucrative but extremely dangerous pearling industry and the colurful characters it attracted. A good read, full of drama, adventure, romance and intrigue, complete with colour photographs and a glossary of pearling terms. 
This first edition was self-published in 1994 by the author, Swanbourne, Western Australia. It has stiff card covers contains 84 pages and despite slight wear, it is in very good condition overall.
