The author confined his account of whaling to the last 200 years, and invented and exciting prose, records many notable incidents of whale hunting in icy and in tropical seas where murder, mutiny and cannibalism were frequent occurrences.


Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Blue boards with red/white title to spine. B/w photos.

A little fading to cover edges. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is browned with some foxing and chipped to edges.
